I Am 100 Days Smarter/Crazier Crowns

Hi friends,

I don’t know if you’ve had your 100 Days of School yet, but ours is really soon. The kids can dress up, gather 100 items, create different projects around the theme, and make crowns. I’m either really smart with tons of crafts and junk on my brain…or I’m super crazy, for barely remembering the 100-day crown, needed in 1 DAY, and completing last. minute. Maybe a little of both! We already had a craft lined up and completed too but noooope, I had to change it up and share this with you! Thankfully this craft is SUPER quick and the original craft will still work next week.

So, for all you last-minute crafters, here’s a fun crown for your kiddos and one for you, the “crazy” adult in their life! If they get to celebrate, you should too. Or at least get you some recognition for making it through ONE HUNDRED DAYS. Am I right?! So, go on out, get yourself a treat; you deserve it. And if you wear your crown out, the public will totally understand ; ). Check it out below.

What You'll Need

  1. Construction Paper (band & diy confetti)

  2. Kids or Adult Print Out + Blank Page

  3. Scissors

  4. Hole Punch

  5. Glue

  6. (1-2) Rubber Bands

  7. Color Pencils

  8. Stickers, Beads, Confetti, etc.

    Optional: Hot Glue

The Steps

  1. Color your words, numbers, stones, and the crazy/messy hair(adult crown but kids can use it too). *You can color in the crown or leave white.

2. Glue plain paper or construction paper underneath the colored crown for reinforcement- I had extra crowns so just used those.

3. Make your own confetti with the hole punch or use premade confetti.

4. Glue the confetti to the peaks of the crown.

5. Glue jewels, beads, other confetti, foam beads, etc with glue or hot glue(better hold).

6. Cut out the crown/s.

7. Use 1 sheet of construction paper and fold it horizontally to create a long, thin piece.

8. Cut the paper in half.

9. Fold 1 piece in 1/3’s and glue it together. Use the 2nd piece, fold in 1/3’s around the 1st piece, and glue the top flap down.

10. Tuck in the center piece and double wrap 1-2 rubber bands around them both.

11. Extend the center piece enough to fit the width of the head.

12. Hot glue the ends to the back of the crown or staple.

That’s it!

Micah- Yay to 100 days!

Mom-Yikes, those 100 days were rough! But, I love my little dude and we’ll survive the next school days too : )

Have a great 100th day of school and even better school days in the future.

Happy crafting!

Amanda and Naomi!
