BeautiFALL Leaf Butterfly

Hi friends,

Today we’re bringing you a super easy fall craft made with leaves. We picked big and small leaves from the yard, used black craft paper, glue, and markers to create these colorful butterflies. We even had Matty help us glue it all and pick the marker colors for the wording. Check out our beautiFALL butterflies below.

What You'll Need

  1. White Construction Paper

  2. Black Construction Paper

  3. Pencil

  4. Scissors

  5. Glue

  6. Markers

  7. Fall Leaves

The Steps

  1. Fold your black paper in half 2 times.

  2. Cut 1 of the fourths out. Save the rest for future crafts.

3. Fold the 1/4 sheet of paper into thirds.

4. With your pencil draw a long oval for the body and cut it out, you’ll have 3 total.

5. Add glue to the body and place it on the center of the paper, either horizontally or vertically.

6. Break off the leaf stems and set them aside.

7. Add glue to the white paper where you’d like your *leaves to be and press them down.

*We used 2 larger leaves on top and smaller leaves on the bottom.

8. Add 2 lines of glue at the top of the head and press the stems down for antennae’s.

9. While everything dries, use the markers to write: BEAUTIFALL BUTTERFLY!

That’s it!

These were extremely easy to make and only took about 15 minutes to dry.

Happy crafting!
