Colorful Snowflake Butterflies

Hi friends,

We have cute, colorful, layered butterflies, made with paper scraps & pipe cleaners. The top layer highlights the intricate or simple snowflake designs created and can be combined with patterned paper, newspaper, or cupcake liners. Check out our simple-to-make colorful snowflake butterflies below.

What You'll Need

  1. Paper of Choice

  2. Small Bowl or Mug

  3. Pencil

  4. Scissors

  5. Pipe Cleaners

The Steps

Use any paper you’d like. We used our paper scraps, I keep them in a folder for future use.

WINGS

  1. Stack 2 pieces of paper and trace your bowl/mug on the top layer.

  2. Hold your papers firmly and cut out the circles. Repeat the duos as much as you’d like.

3. Slightly fold the 2 circles in half and cut the ends at an angle. Repeat with the rest of the circles.

4. Fold each top layer into fourths and cut out your design.

ANTENNA

  1. Depending on the size of your butterflies, fold your pipe cleaners in thirds or halves, then cut.

  2. Fold each cut pipe cleaner in half, slide over the centers of the butterflies, and twist the tops.

    That’s it!

These came out so cute = )

Happy crafting!
