Night Scene

Night Scene, Popsicle Stick Craft, Pom Pom Flowers, Cheap Crafts, Dollar Tree Crafts, Outdoor Setting

Hi friends,

Spring is here, flowers are blooming, and the evenings have been cool after warmer days. Opening the windows for fresh air has been especially nice! But what if you could sit outside, under big trees, hear the gentle rustling of their leaves, while you enjoyed the breeze and night sky? That’s what we imagined when we created our night scenes! We decided to use popsicle sticks and pom-poms for texture. What will yours look like? Check out our night scenes below.

What You'll Need

  1. White Construction Paper

  2. Popsicle Sticks

  3. Pom Poms

  4. Colored Pencils

  5. Sturdy Scissors

  6. Glue

    Optional: Pencil

The Steps

  1. Carefully cut the popsicle sticks for legs, it may take a few tries because they crack in the process.

  2. Glue 1-2 popsicles down for a benchtop and 2-4 short pieces for legs.

Optional: Draw your scene first, then add the bench after.

3. Naomi decided to draw her scene first with a picket fence. She used the popsicle stick as a guide. The rest of her scene is further below, with the bench and flowers.

4. After gluing the bench I added trees, lights, grass, and flowers with the pom-poms.

Leave as is or color the sky blue for a day scene.

Naomi included grass, a fire pit, chairs, lights, flowers, and a simple bench.

Leave as is or color the sky peach/pink for a sunset scene.

5. The last step, use lavender/purple, pink, greyish blue, and dark blue to create your night background.

That’s it!

Naomi’s trees are not as visible but they’re there. I added 2 flowers on the bench & colored stems for them.

Don’t these scenes look inviting?! All we need are a few blankets and smore’s to make this complete lol

Happy crafting!

Amanda and Naomi
