Dads Move Mountains Craft

Hi friends,

Today the littles and I are bringing you a fun, mountain landscape, featuring your child’s handprint for Dad’s day. It’s super easy and cleverly showcases your little’s hand within the mountain. Let’s celebrate those awesome dads with this cute craft!

What You'll Need

  1. White Construction/Art Paper

  2. Brown Craft Paints & Tan/Ivory Craft Paint

  3. Paint Brushes

  4. Pencil

  5. Marker

  6. Colored Pencils

  7. Wipes/Wash Rag

The Steps

  1. Paint most of the palm and fingers brown, minus the top sections of the 4 fingers.

  2. Paint the top portion of the 4 fingers with the tan/ivory color, creating a peak.

  3. Press down on the far right side of the paper. Repeat with different browns or if there’s more than 1 child, use a different brown for each of their hands.

  4. With the colored pencils add grass, flowers, sun, birds, and trees.

Optional: use a matching colored pencil to subtly outline the upper parts of the mountain(below).

5. Use the pencil to write DAD YOU MOVE MOUNTAINS FOR ME on the left side and along the tops of the mountains.

6. Use the marker to trace over the words.

Optional: Write your child’s name around their handprint.

That’s it!

Now give dad this craft along with his favorite jerky bag, trail mix, energy bars, or rocky road ice cream = )

Happy crafting!

Amanda and Naomi
