Hi friends,
We’re sharing how we made our cute Herald Angels Craft and used an unexpected medium for the wings.
We’ve made scrappy crafts over the years, but this is the first with onion skins. I was about to throw the scraps into our compost bin and realized these could be used for crafting! Check out the angels below.

PREP
Turn your green paper horizontally and fold it in half.
We used old paper scraps to draw the initial robe, cut it out, traced it onto the colored papers, and cut those out as well.
3. Draw three circles, cut them out, and draw the features on the face with colored pencils/markers.
ASSEMBLE
Face the inside/shiny side of the skin up and glue it onto the green paper. If you have smaller pieces, try to glue them with the skins angled to create open wings.
Trace the robes with colored pencils/markers and then glue the faces on the robe, slightly overlapped.
MESSAGE
Lastly, write “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing…” with colored pencils/markers.
That’s it!
We use larger onion skins with the first and last angel, and pieced a few smaller pieces for the middle one.
Happy crafting
Amanda and Naomi
