Dandelion Hill

Hi friends,

Our brightly colored yellow flowers on the Dandelion Hill are easy to make, with a few yellow paints and cut straws.

One portion of the straw is cut into thin slivers for our dandelions, and the other is cut in two larger sections for our leaves. Check it out below.

PREP

  1. Turn your green paper vertically, fold it in half, and cut hills on one half or both halves if making more than one.

  2. Use one half and glue it to the white paper.

  3. Squirt your yellow paints on one side of the plate, with space in between each, and the green paint on the opposite side.

STRAWS

  1. Cut one straw in half, on the first half, cut two 1-inch long slits, and spread apart each section.

  2. On the second half of the straw, cut eight slivers a bit longer than 1 inch in length, then split them apart as well.

LEAVES

  1. Dip the two-sectioned straw into the green paint and press down onto the grass. Use your finger to press each plastic piece down.

  2. Rotate the straw and repeat the process 2—3 more times with more paint if necessary, and as many times on the page as you’d like.

  3. With your brush, add green stems to some of the leaves.

FLOWERS

  1. Dip the straw with the thin slivers into one of the yellow paints and press down on the stem or lower by the leaves.

  2. Rotate the straw as you press multiple times, add more paint in the same color or the other yellows.

3. Repeat the process for more flowers and let the paper dry for about 10 minutes.

That’s it!

Happy crafting
