the BAD GUYS 2: KITTY

Hi friends,

This week, we’re showing you how to make the Bad Guys 2: Kitty character, the main antagonist in the movie, and the leader of the Bad Girls.

We had fun making Wolf last week, and now we’re bringing in one of the female villains. In the next few weeks, we’ll make a few more of the characters. Check out Kitty below.

PREP: Head

  1. Turn your grey paper vertically, draw a flat peanut shape, and then two flared-out ears.

PREP: Eyes & Eyebrows

  1. Turn your green paper horizontally, fold it in half, and cut it into two pieces.

  2. Use one piece, fold it in half, and draw: a 2.5-inch-wide eye, a black eyeball, a tiny glare circle, color the “whites” light green, draw a darker green ring around the black eyeball, and trace it all in black.

  3. Unfold the paper, fold it in the opposite direction, and with your nail, scratch the backside to transfer the eye.

  4. Trace the eye and repeat step #2, placing the glare circle on the opposite side, before cutting the eyes out.

  5. Fold one black piece of paper in half, cut it into two pieces, and use one half to create the eyebrows.

DETAILS: Face & Hat

  1. Angle the eyebrows and ears before gluing them near the ears, then draw a nose, snout, lips, and white patches on the forehead and snout/chest area.

  2. Outline the eyes further, color in the nose, mouth, and add shadows under the eyes and chin. Draw a few white spots on the cheeks.

  3. Use the scrap of black paper and draw a cap, color the bill of the cap in green with a white outline. Cut it out and glue it on.

CLOTHING

  1. Tank: Turn the second green paper half vertically, draw a collar and dark green stripes, before cutting it out.

  2. Jacket: Turn the second black paper horizontally, fold it in, and cut out an angled shoulder/arm area. Then cut at the folded line to create two pieces.

  3. Hoodie: Turn the orange paper horizontally, cut it into two sections, and then fold one piece in half, before drawing a long, narrow strip and a slight curve at the top. Cut out the slim piece and cut on the folded line.

ASSEMBLE

  1. Glue the tank top onto the body, the orange pieces right onto the black jacket, and then on the outer sides of the tank top.

  2. Lastly, cut out the grey background.

That’s it!

Happy crafting
