Hi Friends,
We made a Back-to-School Bus Craft that reminds us of field trips, excited kids, and sitting with your best friend.
The kids aren’t quite ready to admit that summer is about halfway through, so we’re not talking about it yet, but Mom is aware and starting to plan for it.

What You'll Need
Construction Paper: Black, White, Yellow
Pencil
Colored Pencils: White, Grey/Silver, Black
Scissors
Glue Stick
Small Round Container/ Round Scoop
Ruler
The Steps
We want to see your craft! Click PHOTO SUBMISSION, then submit the photo.
PREP: For two buses
Turn your yellow paper vertically and fold it in half to create a narrow strip.
Use your ruler to draw the length of the bus, the front, the back, the bumpers, and the bottom.
Use the small container/scooper to draw half an arch where the tires will be, near the back and the front.
Draw the front windshield, side mirror, 3-4 windows (at least 1 inch in size), two stripes under the windows, and the doors.
COLOR & ASSEMBLE
Trace the bus with the black pencil, pressing down firmly to leave an imprint on the bottom layer; then color the windows/doors white and the bumpers & side mirror grey/silver.
Cut through both layers and repeat the tracing with the black pencil and color the rest of the areas.
Fold your white or black paper in half vertically and glue the bus near the folded edge.
TIRES & MESSAGE
For the white background: Trace the small container/scooper with the black pencil and a smaller half-circle in the middle for the hubcap; color in the tire black and the hubcap with the grey/silver color.
For the black background: Trace the small container/scooper with the white pencil and a smaller half-circle in the middle for the hubcap, then color in the hubcap white.
Write BACK TO SCHOOL with the black pencil.
