Handprint Hens

Hi Friends,

This week, we’re bringing you our clucky Handprint Hens created with paints and markers.

Decide which color or pattern you’d like for each chicken and add colorful scenery. Adult hands will only allow for two hens, but little hands will allow for a few more. Check it out below.

PREP

  1. Use both greens to draw the grass on the bottom of the horizontal paper.

  2. Choose a paint, then apply it to the hand with a brush; with the other hand, press down the painted hand firmly above the grass.

If you’d like, with a small stiff brush, add small feather markings onto the handprint.

  3. Let the chickens dry for about 10 minutes.

FACE & DETAILS

  1. Use the black marker to make one eye and the red marker for the comb(on top of the head), the beak, and the waddle (under the beak).

  2. Use a marker for the legs and feet, then draw flowers and a sun.

That’s it!

Happy crafting,

Amanda and Naomi
