GRINCH Tree Hugger

Hi friends,

We’re back with some fun, last-minute Christmas decor! I know, we thought we were done too. Haha. But, we couldn’t pass up sharing our cute, easy-to-make Grinch tree hugger. It’s inspired by the Grinch hands we’ve been seeing on Pinterest and our Dr. Suess decor this year. Our spin-off uses Dollar Tree pool noodles, work gloves, and a few unexpected items. Check out our indoor & outdoor tree huggers below.

GRINCH HANDS

  1. Cut up your reusable bags and stuff your gloves.

2. Cut some string and tie the ends of the gloves tightly.

3. Tie the pointer and thumb fingers of one glove together(hot gluing is optional).

LEGS/FEET

Outdoor:

  1. Place the handles of the roller frames into the ends of the noodles to create the feet.

  2. Cover both frames with a Santa hat, fold over around the noodle and tie tightly with a string.

Indoor:

  1. Fill two Santa hats with lots of tissue paper or cut up reusable bags until they’re somewhat stiff.

  2. Place each leg into one hat and tie it tightly with a string to create the feet.

WAIST

Pinch the tong ends until they are narrower and slide each end into the top of the legs.

Outdoor:

  1. Cover the tong area with a Santa Hat.

Indoor: Covering the tong area is optional, it’s not going to be seen.

DISPLAY

Indoors:

1) Position the Grinch's legs around the tree from the back. 2) Hang his hands with hooks and place an ornament between the pincher finger and thumb. 3) Use the third hat as a tree topper.

DISPLAY

Outdoors:

1) Lean the Grinch’s waist and legs from behind the tree and pin/staple the hat into place.

2) Face the feet out and around the tree base.

3) Pin/staple the Santa hat onto the tree on the front side.

4) Twist both pipe cleaners in the middle and curl the ends in a bit before pinning them onto the tree.

5) Thoroughly pin/staple the gloves on the front of the tree as well and place an ornament or Christmas lights through the two joined fingers.

That’s it!

We even used hubby’s reindeer as “Max”, Grinch’s sidekick lol

Happy crafting!
