OVERALLS

  1. Place your lunch bag over the blue vertical-facing paper, with the flap over the paper, and the edge of both aligned.

  2. Trace the edge of the bag with the pencil, extend the line to the end, and draw pant legs with a wedge in between.

  3. Cut out the strip and the wedge.

  4. At the top, draw 3-inch-long suspenders and cut out the inner rectangle.

SHIRT

  1. Fold your wrapping paper in half and glue it together.

  2. Fold the paper in half slightly, cut a 2-inch-wide strip from the top, and cut that strip in half(sleeves), then cut the top of each at an angle.

  3. Trim the rest of the wrapping paper to fit under the bag’s flap, extended down a few inches, then glue it to the bag.

  4. Glue the sleeves at an angle and then the overalls over the shirt and sleeves.

HAT & HEAD

  1. Draw a wide bucket hat on the brown paper, big enough to cover the top of the head, and cut it out.

  2. Draw a rectangle wide enough to cover the flap/head area and cut it out.

  3. Glue the head to the flap and the hat over the head.

HAY, FACE, & PATCHES

  1. Use the tan paper scraps, cut two sections per arm and leg (8 total), and cut multiple strands.

  2. Overlap each hay section and glue them slightly angled to the backside of the sleeves and legs.

  3. Draw the eyes with a small area uncolored (glare), the cheeks, and the nose & mouth with the stitching lines.

  4. Lastly, cut the patches, glue them on, and add the stitching.

Optional: Draw a chest pocket and side pockets.

That’s it!

Happy crafting,

Amanda and Naomi
