PREP

  1. Cut two eyes and legs from the black or brown pipe cleaners, matching feet, and a beak from the orange pipe cleaner.

  2. Fold the beak into a V and the feet into wide peaks.

BIRDS Make sure you have enough of the pom pom colors you’ll be using.

  1. Create a short/tall oval or pear shape with the glue and fill it in.

  2. Arrange your pom poms from small to large and similar colors together, one color, or multiple colors.

  3. Press the pom poms down firmly.

FACE

  1. Add a bit of glue to the ends of the eyes and press down between the poms.

  2. Add glue to the beak and glue straight down or at an angle.

LEGS

  1. Add glue to the legs and slide them into the bottom part of the body, then press them down.

  2. Glue the feet under the legs with the peaks facing up.

SCARVES: Two options

Right/Left Facing

  1. Cut felt/fabric long enough to glue around the neck and have some hanging over.

  2. Create a fringe on one end and then glue the scarf around the neck.

Center

  1. Cut felt/fabric long enough to wrap around the poms and cross the scarf, then fringe the ends.

  2. Glue your scarf down first or remove a section of poms, center the scarf, place the poms down over the scarf, and continue gluing the rest of the poms.

  3. Add glue on one end of the scarf and cross the other end over it.

MESSAGE

  1. With the marker, write HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! or HAPPY 2025!!!

  2. Let everything dry for about 2o minutes.

That’s it!!

Adorably fluffy and cozy birds.

Happy crafting,

Amanda and Naomi
