Hi friends,
Join this year’s Earth Day celebration by creating our Earth Day Pipe Cleaner Craft.
The theme this year is Our Power, Our Planet. So with pipe cleaners and colored pencils, we displayed the lower half of Earth and a green, thriving landscape on the upper half. You could also choose a flower field, mountains, or even a desert landscape by swapping the pipe cleaner colors on the upper half. Check it out below.

EARTH
Turn your paper horizontally, trace the lower half of your bowl near the bottom of the page, and then connect the sides with a straight line.
Trim a green or your choice of pipe cleaner for the upper half of the landscape(field, orchard, mountain, desert, etc.), and glue it on.
Use green pipe cleaners (or a color based on the planned landscape) to cut and form the continents(accurately or loosely based) before gluing them on.
EARTH
4. Create a dark blue body of water in the center with the blue pipe cleaners, glue it on, and then glue a blue pipe cleaner to the bottom of the Earth.
5. Color in the green sections green, the dark blue section in dark blue, and the remaining areas in light blue/turquoise.
LANDSCAPE
Cut and trim your pipe cleaners and glue them to the upper half to create plants, trees, mountains, etc., in your landscape.
MESSAGE
Write EARTH DAY or HAPPY EARTH DAY and the year.
Let everything dry for 5-20 minutes, depending on the glue used.
That’s it!
Happy crafting,
Amanda and Naomi
