Today Naomi and I share a fun paint spread craft, featuring a unique, weathered flag, silver & gold stars, and a Labor Day message. This didn’t take much time or effort but created a beautiful outcome. Check out our paint spread flags below!

What You'll Need
White Construction Paper
Red, White, & Blue Craft Paints
Large Craft Stick
Gold, Silver, Black, & Blue Colored Pencils
Optional: Table Cover/Newspaper, Wipes
The Steps
Turn your paper horizontally and squirt 1 inch+ of each color on the left side of the paper.
Hold the top edge of the craft stick with both hands and drag across directly or in a small/large wave motion. If you don’t have enough paint on your paper, drag carefully once again or add a bit more paint before dragging.
The white is not as visible on the screen but it’s there. You can also see a tiny bit of color blending.
This created such a beautiful wave!
3. As the paint is drying, create silver and gold stars around the flag and on the dried areas.
4. Last, use blue, black, or both to write HAPPY LABOR DAY.
That’s it!!
I used both colors for my words and got more of the white & red paints blending. Naomi used 1 color and got more of the white & blue blending. The addition of the patriotic noisemakers gives the flags more of a pop : )
